The goal of the project is to define and characterize important molecular interactions that are involved in the assembly, intracellular trafficking, and secretion of collagen heterotrimers. The successful applicant will use targeted and systematic genome-wide functional screens (CRISPRi/a) and small molecule screens to identify interactions that might represent therapeutic targets.
Candidates must be enthusiastic, passionate and self-motivated with a commitment to career development. You will have the support of an organized Departmental Postdoctoral training program including opportunities to present your work and bi-annual review of a personalized Individual Development Plan with your primary mentor and a co-mentor to ensure that you are meeting career goals.
