A translational research lab of Baylor College of Medicine's Pediatrics Department-Division of Oncology, located in the Texas Children's Cancer Center, is seeking a post-doctoral associate. We are looking for an intelligent and highly motivated individual who will provide significant scientific experience and expertise to our laboratory studying the development and progression of pediatric sarcomas. Potential projects for the post-doctoral associate include those related to gaining insights into the molecular pathogenesis of sarcoma development and metastasis, as well as further our understanding of therapeutic resistance, microenvironmental factors and transcriptional regulation. The applicant should be capable of performing independent work, but also be willing to assist others and help mentor more inexperienced/junior members of the laboratory. In addition, integration of applicant’s own prior research experience and independent ideas will be highly encouraged and considered. The post-doctoral associate will meet with the PI on a regular basis to discuss research progress as well as any technical issues and outline of future directions.
Required: Recent Ph.D. and/or M.D. in cell biology, molecular biology, cancer biology, genetics or related fields.
Required: At least two years of prior lab experience and familiarity with molecular and cellular biology techniques. An understanding of genetics, molecular and cancer biology are preferred.
