A postdoctoral position is available immediately in Dr. Hesham Amin’s lab at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Our aims include understanding the molecular basis of cancer, which leads to unraveling novel targets and developing innovative therapeutic approaches. In addition, we work to identify and characterize novel biomarkers that could be utilized in changing the status quo of the diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutic decisions related to cancer patients.
Candidates should have a strong background in cell biology, with an experience of 2-3 years of working in a research lab. Candidates with publications are preferred. Techniques that are regularly utilized in our lab include: cell culture, flow cytometry, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, PCR, different types of tissue staining, and cellular assays. Several animal studies are currently ongoing in the lab, and the candidate is expected to have previous experience in animal-based experiments.
