A productive research team in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, research-oriented individual at the post-doctoral level to join a team dedicated to evaluating the quality and cost-effectiveness of our treatment of head and neck cancers.
The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment, requiring interaction services managing patients’ functional outcomes and with groups providing administrative data for analysis. Specific responsibilities include planning and designing a database, data collection and entry, planning, designing, and executing data analysis. The candidate will be expected to develop statistical methods for cost-effectiveness analyses, and to prepare technical summaries for use in proposals, protocols, presentations at internal and national meetings, and publication of research papers. The candidate will be expected to make and record detailed research performance, and maintain a complete and thorough research effort, complete with manuscript and grant application preparation. A strong background in statistical analysis is required, as is the ability to interpret and summarize complex scientific data in a clear and concise manner. Strong communication skills are essential, with both written and verbal fluency in English required, along with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Education and Experience:
A medical degree and/or a Ph.D. degree in the field of health economics, epidemiology, or a related field are required.
