Job Description
The Nuclear Science and Engineering Division is seeking a highly motivated Nuclear Engineer to perform modeling and data analysis activities related to large datasets generated by both commercial nuclear power plants and by dynamic simulations of advanced reactor concepts. These modeling and data analysis activities have as their objective the improvement of the economics of nuclear power across the spectrum of safety, operation, maintenance, and security. You will work with and develop software for managing these data sets and utilize and/or develop artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to characterize plant performance in these four domains.
Experience modeling and simulation of fluid-thermal systems and electrical components found in commercial and advanced nuclear power plants. This level of knowledge is typically achieved through a formal education in nuclear engineering, or associated field at the Ph.D. degree level & 0 years’ professional experience.
