Basic Function:
THE CENTER FOR PUBLIC POLICY AND HEALTH (CPPH) IN THE COLLEGE OF PUBLIC HEALTH AT KENT STATE UNIVERSITY IS SEEKING A ONE-YEAR POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW (WITH THE OPTION TO RENEW)TO JOIN OUR TEAM STARTING FALL 2022.
Examples of Duties:
WE ARE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FROM MOTIVATED AND ENTHUSIASTIC CANDIDATES WITH A BACKGROUND IN MENTAL HEALTH AND/OR SUBSTANCE ABUSE, OR INFORMATICS. CANDIDATE WILL JOIN A DIVERSE TEAM OF MULTI-DISCIPLINARY RESEARCHERS TO SUPPORT A BROAD RANGE OF FEDERALLY FUNDED MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE PROJECTS.
Minimum Qualifications:
EXCELLENT WRITING SKILLS
STRONG RESEARCH DESIGN AND ANALYTICAL SKILLS
HISTORY OF AUTHORING OR CO-AUTHORING PUBLISHED PEER-REVIEWED PUBLICATIONS
ASSIST WITH DATA COLLECTION AND ANALYSES
ABILITY TO WORK EFFECTIVELY WITH MULTI-DISCIPLINARY RESEARCH TEAMS
BACKGROUND IN MENTAL HEALTH AND/OR SUBSTANCE ABUSE OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE
PHD IN PSYCHOLOGY, PUBLIC HEALTH, OR RELATED FIELD (MUST BE CONFERRED PRIOR TO THE AGREED-UPON START DATE)
Preferred Qualifications - if applicable:
HISTORY OF FEDERAL GRANT WRITING EXPERIENCE
BACKGROUND OR EXPERIENCE IN BIOMEDICAL ANALYTICS

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
