Job Description
The Nanoscience and Technology Division/Center for Nanoscale Materials (CNM) at Argonne National Laboratory has an available postdoctoral position focused in the area of autonomous material discovery.
We are seeking highly motivated and independent postdoctoral researchers to join our autonomous material discovery research team to carry out research on functional polymer design and experimental automation design. Applicants with the background from a range of areas, including but not limited to organic and polymer synthesis, polymer processing and characterization, polymer electronics are welcomed.
The successful candidate will have access to state-of-the-art research facilities and gain in-depth knowledge of the research frontiers in the fields of autonomous material discovery. He/she will also have the opportunity to be a part of a world-class scientific team and involved in vigorous research programs.
Position Requirements
Candidate should have completed a Ph.D. degree level with 0 to 3 years of experience or equivalent in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, polymer science and engineering, or a related discipline.
Previous experience in the following areas is highly desired:
Background in organic and polymer synthesis, polymer processing and characterization, polymer electronics.
Experience in programming is desired but not required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong skills in collaboration and ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment.
