An established laboratory at the Monell Chemical Senses Center is now accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship position beginning in the fall of 2018. The Monell Chemical Senses Center in Philadelphia is a world-renowned institute focusing on taste and smell research. It is closely associated with the University of Pennsylvania and provides a highly vibrant, collegial and intellectually stimulating environment.
In order to survive and flourish in the world, animals need to taste and discriminate foods. Some food stimuli are appetitive and drive intake, whereas others are aversive and impede intake. Using multiple perceptual approaches, the lab aims to address how we perceive rewarding oral stimuli, such as sugars, and punishing oral stimuli, such as toxins and pharmaceuticals.
The Monell lab is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow interested in exploring taste sensation and human oral perception. Applicants should have Ph.D. degree. Candidates with expertise in perceptual studies, human psychophysics, oral biology, and the senses are highly encouraged to apply for this position.
Interested applicants should submit the following documents to http://apply.interfolio.com/51662.
1. A cover letter describing your research interest and goal.
2. A curriculum vitae.
3. The contact information of three references
