We are looking for a motivated postdoc researcher to study BET epigenetic readers, a master regulator in cell state transitions. Our research team have published in EBioMedicine, J Controlled Release, Circulation CVI, JACC BTS, Biomaterials, Stem Cells, and Molecular Neurodegeneration. The Guo lab research focuses on molecular and disease mechanisms pertaining BET regulations. In response to pathogenic stimuli, BETs couple with cell type- or cell state-specific transcription factors to activate the expression of a select set of genes which in concert drive cellular transition to a disease state. We aim to identify the key transcription factors associated with BETs in a disease context, using the CRISPR/Cas9 technology for knockout and mutagenesis, and ChIPseq and RNAseq for genome wide analyses, followed by translational interventions targeting vascular or retinal diseases by applying nanotechnology. Ph.D. in molecular/cellular biology and biochemistry or related biomedical field is required. Experiences in Co-IP, immunohistochemistry and pathology are preferred. The incumbent will join a group of scientists who value multidisciplinary and collaborative approaches to address fundamental questions underlying human diseases.
