Postdoctoral Associate position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Sean Hartig at Baylor College of Medicine. We are currently recruiting postdoctoral fellows with backgrounds in metabolism and immunology to work in our laboratory. The laboratory is NIH-funded with stable funding support. We are interested in fundamental aspects of metabolic regulation, particularly how inflammation impinges upon the tissues responsible for insulin sensitivity. The candidate will likely use a combination of genetic mouse models, flow cytometry, and cell culture to explore the role of immune cells within adipose tissue as a platform to treat obesity, diabetes, and other metabolic disorders. The lab provides an interactive and stimulating environment as well as opportunities for growth and career development.
