The University of Maryland is recruiting a post-doctoral researcher in Environmental/Molecular Toxicology for a new collaborative project with the U.S. Geological Survey, focusing on immunomodulatory effects of contaminants in wildlife. The project involves in vivo exposures, molecular (transcriptomics) and biochemical analyses. Candidates with strong molecular biology laboratory skills, knowledge of bioinformatics, and experience in animal studies are encouraged to apply.
A Ph.D. in toxicology, molecular biology, biological sciences, immunology, wildlife biology or the equivalent is preferred. Master's level candidates with an excellent publication record and appropriate research experience will be considered for the position. Excellent verbal and written skills in English are essential. Candidate must be able to perform desired analyses independently, analyze data with common statistical packages, write publishable manuscripts, and communicate and work effectively with multiple PIs.
