The Department of English, School of Arts and Sciences-Newark, Rutgers University-Newark, invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate for the 2019-2020 academic year, beginning September 1, 2019. The successful candidate will teach a broad spectrum of courses that cover 19th to 21st century practices and poetics of African American and American artistic work. Attention to how gender, race, and sexuality studies have inflected the criticism of these literatures and culture in recent decades will inform the classes taught. Candidates must have completed their Ph.D.
