A postdoctoral position is available immediately to assist in research focused on the study of immune suppressive role of MYCN in neuroblastoma. The laboratory is interested in understanding how MYCN forms a permissive microenvironment for the development of high-risk tumors. Specifically, the laboratory is currently investigating how the metabolic reprogramming operated by MYCN contributes to its immune suppressive function, with particular emphasis on tumor immunology and metabolism.
The candidate will use a combination of various cell and molecular biology approaches (including co-culture models, T cell functional assays, RNA-seq, CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, metabolomics, and metabolic tracing), as well as different tumors models (transgenic, xenograft, and syngeneic) to study immune function and tumor metabolism in MYCN-driven oncogenesis.
Prior first author publications.
Strong background in cancer immunology and molecular biology, and experience with mouse models of cancer.
Candidates should be highly motivated to pursue an independent career in biomedical research.
