Job DescriptionThe Yun laboratory studies multiple aspects of brain cancer biology, employing techniques in genetics, genomics, molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, and mouse models. We study mechanisms that promote cancer stem cell survival and self-renewal and the role of tumor microenvironment, particularly immune cells, in mediating therapy resistance and cancer progression in brain and other solid tumors.
We have multiple postdoctoral fellow positions for candidates with strong interest and expertise in single cell biology, stem cell biology, tumor immunology, or computational biology. Expertise in immunology or single cell analysis is valuable.
Houston Methodist Research Institute (HMRI) is a non-profit, academic research institute affiliated with the Weill Cornell Medical College, and provides unique translational research opportunities. HMRI is located in the Texas Medical Center, adjacent to Rice University, Baylor College of Medicine, and MD Anderson Cancer Center, providing ample opportunities to interact with researchers in these neighboring institutions.
