Job DescriptionOur group is looking to find 2 postdoctoral fellow/associates to join the laboratory of Daniel Higginson at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Our group uses cutting edge technology to study DNA double strand break repair, in both basic and translational contexts and with a special focus on alternative end-joining. DNA repair is critically important in cancer biology because differential repair capacity between tumor and normal cells provides the therapeutic window for a number of chemotherapies and radiotherapy.
Involved technologies in the lab include CRISPR/Cas9, NGS, and single cell sequencing. Experience with mice and/or coding skills would be a plus, but not essential. We are also willing to support outside-the-box ideas inspired by a candidate's previous experience. A representative example of our work includes a recent PNAS paper demonstrating HPV16 E7 driven promotion of alternative endjoining (PMID 31591214).
Please send CVs and cover letters and we will contact you in 1-2 weeks.
