Job DescriptionThe University of Illinois College of Medicine has a Research Specialist position open for studying the pathogenesis of medulloblastoma (MB) and developing new molecular subgroup specific therapeutic approaches in MB. These projects investigate the roles of immune checkpoints and epigenetic modifiers in the development of MB and establish the logical basis for novel therapy using transgenic/knockout mouse models of MB. The candidate will also be involved in other projects in the laboratory, focusing on basic science and Cancer Biology. The successful candidates will have: Bachelor’s degree in science or related field required. Master’s or Ph.D. degree in science preferred; minimum of 3 years related research experience, possess and apply comprehensive knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods and be proficient in specific lab research techniques.
