Job Description
The Westbrook lab is seeking a talented postdoctoral researcher to work in an interdisciplinary team environment understanding how mechanisms of drug resistance in chemo-refractory breast cancer and other aggressive malignancies.
Postdoctoral Associates are trainees working in an apprenticeship mode in preparation for a career as a scientific professional.
- Leverage cutting edge genetic, genomic, and computational tools to understand mechanisms of drug resistance in chemo-refractory breast cancer and other aggressive malignancies.
- Exploit and expand the current advanced training in single-cell approaches including live cell imaging.
- Work closely with clinical colleagues to translate mechanistic discoveries into therapeutic hypotheses to improve outcomes for patients with breast cancer.
- Education Required: MD or Ph.D in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
- Experience Required: None Required.
- Certification/Licenses/Registration: None Required.
- Must be willing to participating in research planning and proposal writing.
- Must be willing to travel to professional conferences each year.
