Job Description
Job Purpose
This position is for a Ph.D to carry out mentored independent research in one of the following areas: molecular neuroscience, biochemistry, structural biology (mostly by cryo-EM/ET), molecular biology and molecular genetics of disease models, superresolution fluorescence imaging; each of these may include methods development as well as application.
Use and develop skills in state-of-the art biochemical, biophysical, molecular biological and/or genetic approaches to understanding molecular and cellular mechanisms of sensory signaling and pathogenesis of neurodegeneration and ciliopathies.
Job Duties
- Plans, directs and conducts specialized and advanced research experiments.
- Evaluates and analyzes data.
- May establish new research protocols and procedures.
- Summarizes research findings and publish results in research journals.
- May be responsible for laboratory operations.
- May supervise research staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education Required: MD or Ph.D in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
- Experience Required: None Required.
- Certification/Licenses/Registration: None Required.
