Description of the Job
The Research Assistant duties will provide research, administrative, and project support; including but not limited to preparation, collection, compilation, and analysis of research data; conducting observational studies; collaboration with other research professionals; and other duties as assigned. Technician will perform synthesis of organic sol-gel materials, such as polyurethane, polyurea and phenolics. All activities are in accordance to VCU Research Protocols, Policy, and Procedures.
Required Qualifications
B.S. in Physics or a closely related discipline. In lieu of a degree, equivalent years of experience in a Physics laboratory discipline may be considered. Strong oral presentation and communication skills required.
Preferred Qualifications
M.S. or Ph.D in Physics or a closely related discipline at the time the position begins. Prior research experience is strongly preferred.
