Job Description
The Chemical Sciences and Engineering Division (CSE) at Argonne National Laboratory is seeking a postdoctoral appointee to conduct research in the field lithium and lithium-ion batteries. The research will be focused on understanding and designing function electrode/electrolyte interface for high performance lithium and lithium-ion batteries.
The candidate will establish the relationship between the interfacial chemistry and the electrochemical performance of batteries. The candidate will also conduct novel characterization of these interfacial phenomena using advanced x-ray synchrotron measurements, provides an understanding on working principles and failure mechanism of interfacial processes. The candidate should be able to analyze data, prepare manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed publications, present papers at scientific meetings, and prepare reports and presentations/papers for group meetings.
We expect you to have: This level of knowledge is typically achieved through a formal education in organic chemistry or polymer chemistry at the PhD level with 0 to 3 years of experience or equivalent in the scientific application of this knowledge and practical laboratory experience.
