Job Description
The Chemical Sciences and Engineering Division is seeking a Postdoctoral Appointee to mainly conduct research to develop functional ceramic materials used for all solid-state batteries under the guidance of a supervisor.
The project involves physical, mechanical, chemical, and electrochemical characterization of ceramics using various characterization techniques. The candidate will establish the relationship between the physical/chemical properties and electrochemical performance of ceramics. The candidate will also conduct novel characterization of these materials using advanced x-ray synchrotron measurements. Provides an understanding on working principles and failure mechanism of functional ceramics. The candidate should be able to analyze data, prepare manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed publications, present papers at scientific meetings, and prepare reports and presentations/papers for group meetings.
