Job Description
The Hong Lab (https://www.thehonglab.org/) at Emory University and the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center is seeking a post-doctoral fellow to tackle pediatric cancer research projects using genomics.Specifically, we will use computational biology (e.g., whole genome, ATAC-seq, RNA-seq and single cell) along with functional genomics (e.g., CRISPR-Cas9 or ORF). While prior work with these technologies is useful, it is not required.
Requirements:
A minimum of a Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, MD/PhD or equivalent) is required. Preference to applicants who are finishing graduate school or have less than 1 years of postdoctoral experience. The candidate should possess strong interpersonal communication and analytical skills. The candidate should have written and oral fluency in English. Further, the ideal candidate will be motivated, detailed, goal-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.
Preference given to those with prior experiences either in:
-functional and structural cancer genomics
-and/or computational and systems biology.
