Job DescriptionPostdoctoral/research associate/lab manager positions in cardiovascular and pulmonary biology are immediately available in the Center of Translational Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, USA. The laboratory of Dr. Jianxin Sun investigates molecular signaling pathways critically involved in vascular inflammation, endothelial dysfunction, atherothrombosis, aortic aneurysm, cardiotoxicity, and acute lung injury by using cutting edge multidisciplinary approaches of molecular and cellular biology, genetics, genomics, and proteomics. Highly motivated scientists with strong research experiences in molecular and cell biology, vascular biology, and animal models of cardiovascular diseases are particularly encouraged to apply. Excellent oral and written communication skills and collaborative attitude are essential. These positions provide an excellent opportunity to grow scientifically and work with a dynamic group of investigators in the Center for Translational Medicine to study important and exciting aspects of cardiovascular physiology and pathogenesis. Qualified applicants for postdoctoral/research associates should have a recent PhD and/or an MD degree and a strong research experience in one of the following areas: molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, pharmacology, and mouse genetics or related field. Applicants for lab manager or research assistant positions should have bachelor's degree and candidates with expertise in rodent surgical techniques are encouraged to apply.
