We are seeking goal-oriented, highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow with a passion for science to lead translational immuno-oncology projects.
The main goal of our laboratory is the translational development of immunotherapies for lymphoma. We have a keen interest in understanding how tumor-cell intrinsic mechanisms regulate the endogenous immune response against lymphoma, and how this informs pathways driving response and resistance to immune-based treatments in this disease. We aim to leverage this information to 1) develop novel biomarkers that promote precision-based medicine and 2) discover strategies to further enhance the efficacy of existing immunotherapies.
The lab employs syngeneic and genetically engineered pre-clinical mouse models, as well as patient specimens, in both basic and translational studies of lymphoma. We also use an array of cellular, molecular, and genomic analyses to interrogate questions in several in vitro, in vivo, and bioinformatic studies.
The ideal candidate will have relevant laboratory experience in one more of the following areas of molecular biology and cellular immunology including:
- Molecular biology techniques:
- qPCR and Western blots
- Gene editing via CRISPR/Cas9
- Experience with -omics platforms (genomics, epigenomics)
- Cellular immunology techniques including
- Multi-parameter flow cytometry of mouse and human samples
- Cell culture of mouse and human cells, including cell lines and primary cells
- Experience working with lab animals and animal husbandry
- Syngeneic, transplantable tumor models
- Familiarity with developing and utilizing genetically engineered mouse models
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
- Doctorate degree (Ph.D. or M.D.) required
- A background within molecular biology, cellular immunology and working with lab animals and husbandry is preferred.
- Basic computational biology skills will also be very valuable but are not mandatory for the position.
