The Investigative Toxicology (Summit NJ) is looking for a post-doctoral candidate to study human testicular organoid model. Internally, we have made progress on an improved organoid model of testicular to predict and identify mechanisms of testicular toxicity and are looking for a skilled post-doctoral candidate to dive deeper in the model development. The candidate will work on optimizing and development the long term culture of testicular organoids in various species, conduct experiments related to directed differentiation of pluripotent stem cells into testicular lineage cells, and participate in toxicological issue resolution meetings related to testicular toxicity. This position is an opportunity to develop and publish cutting edge applied biology/toxicology models all in the pharmaceutical drug development environment.
design, conduct and interpret in vitro and primary cell culture techniques
design, conduct and interpret directed differentiation of pluripotent stem cells
formulate specific studies to address the specific aims of the research project
Conduct oral and written summaries of project activities including peer reviewed publications
Qualifications & Experience
An advanced graduate degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in toxicology, molecular biology, immunology, biomedical engineering or related field, with extensive training in molecular and cellular toxicology/biology with an ability to develop novel in vitro models (e.g., microphysiological systems
Superior knowledge and experience in mammalian cell culture
directed differentiation of pluripotent stem cells a plus
