Job DescriptionA postdoctoral fellow position is available at Professor Xinbin Chen's lab in the Department of Surgical & Radiological Science at University of California, School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Chen is a renowned expert in cancer biology, particularly focusing on the p53 tumor suppressor.
We are looking for qualified persons to join a multidisciplinary group working in the cutting-edge area of human cancers with interest and experience in cancer biology. The focus of the lab is studying mechanism of tumor suppressor p53 and its related family proteins, p63 and p73 in tumor suppression. Selected candidate will perform highly interdisciplinary and collaborative scientific research with human cell lines and mouse models.

The candidate should have an interest in cell biology, cancer biology or other related fields. Research experience in any of these areas are highly desired but not required: (1) tissue sectioning and immunohistochemistry, (2) RT-PCR/Western Blots/ELISAs; (3) basic microscopy or confocal imaging, (4) cell culture and animal handling. The candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent computer skills, and organizational and time management skills.
