Position Summary
A Postdoctoral Fellowship opportunity is immediately available for the highly motivated individual in the laboratory of Dr. ZJ Sun at Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope, one of a prestigious group of NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will join a highly productive lab to directly work on the novel and ongoing projects to uncover cell signaling pathways, and related gene-expression and genomic and epigenetic alterations that regulate the prostatic epithelial-stromal interactions in development and tumor development and progression.
Key Responsibilities include:
- The successful applicant will investigate steroid hormone action, transcriptional control, and cell signaling in development and tumorigenesis.
- The Fellow will develop and use novel and advanced biological approaches, and genetically engineered mouse models to uncover gene-expression and genomic and epigenetic alterations in cancer initiating cells in order to understand mechanisms underlying tumor initiation, progression, and metastasis.
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
- Ph.D. or M.D/Ph.D. degree in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field.
- A proven track record of creativity and productivity.
- Highly self-motivated, strong desire to learn, and have excellent communication skills.
