Clinical Research Fellow
- University of Leeds
- Location: Leeds, United Kingdom

- Posting Date: Jan 26, 2022
Are you medically qualified and ambitious with an interest in surgical research? Do you have experience of working in colorectal surgery? Do you want to further your career by undertaking an MD degree in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?
You will support and undertake research as part of the academic surgery research group. Your research will focus on remote, at-home monitoring in risk stratification for major abdominal surgery. You will lead your own studies in this area, including methods development and clinical studies and contribute to the work of the research group as a whole.
Funding is available for a fixed period of 2 years to enable you to work towards an MD at the University of Leeds. It is hoped that a further 1 years funding can be secured should the candidate wish to work towards a PhD. This is an exciting opportunity if you are a surgical trainee, especially if you are aiming to sub specialise in colorectal or pursue an academic career. You will be medically qualified with MRCP or equivalent and full GMC registration.
