Job Description
Summary
A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Barbieri laboratory to study the molecular mechanisms regulating neuroblastoma cell metabolism. The laboratory, funded by NCI, is currently focused on the study of how MYCN, which drives neuroblastoma initiation and treatment resistance, interacts with specific components of the molecular clock to rewire cell metabolism and drive oncogenesis, with particular emphasis on cell metabolism, circadian metabolic oscillation, and differentiation. The candidate will use a combination of various cell and molecular biology approaches (including CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, metabolomics and metabolic tracing), as well as different tumors models (transgenic, xenograft/PDX, and syngeneic) to explore the regulation of tumor metabolism induced by MYCN during neuroblastoma initiation and progression.
