Job Summary
MMM Lab: Multiscale Mechanics and Materials Laboratory
The MMM Lab at the University of Utah conducts cutting-edge research at the nexus of materials science, data science, and structural mechanics. We couple high-performance computing with materials characterization and data-driven analysis (including machine learning) to address a wide range of research topics that are especially pertinent to the defense, aerospace, and manufacturing communities. The lab is directed by Dr. Ashley Spear.
The University of Utah is located in Salt Lake City and nestled against the Wasatch Mountains, offering unparalleled access to both urban and outdoor recreational activities. There are seven world-class ski resorts within 30-60 minutes of campus and eight national parks within just a few hours of campus.
Postdoctoral Researchers: Qualified candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Materials Science, Engineering or Computer Science (with experience in mechanics of materials). The initial term of the position is one year with the possibility for renewal. The start date is immediate but flexible.
