Job Description
The University of Colorado high energy physics group has an opening for a Post Doctoral Research Associate to work on the CMS experiment. The CU faculty involved in CMS are John Cumalat, Bill Ford, Kevin Stenson, Keith Ulmer, and Steve Wagner. The group plays leading roles in the Phase 2 Level 1 track trigger and correlator trigger upgrades and Phase 2 upgrade work on pixel sensor and electronics R&D. The group is active in a variety of physics analyses including searches for supersymmetry, searches for new physics utilizing exotic jet signatures, and measurements of rare B decays with implications for the lepton flavor anomalies.The University of Colorado Boulder is committed to building a culturally diverse community of faculty, staff, and students dedicated to contributing to an inclusive campus environment. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
The successful candidate will be expected to play a leading role in the group’s activities on the Phase 2 Level 1 trigger upgrade, as well as data analysis related to searches for physics beyond the standard model. Experience or interest in firmware and/or machine learning is highly desirable.

The salary range for this full-time position is $55,000 - $62,000 annually. Moving expenses may be available.
