Job Description
The Saloman lab is interested in understanding the biology of pain conditions and neuropathies as well discovery/validation of biomarkers. Our team can benefit from individuals with varied areas of expertise, such as tumor immunology, pain behavior, neuroscience, cell biology, and/or pancreatology. We are currently looking for an individual to focus on the role of neuronal PDL1 in cancer pain as well as tumor immunity.
The lab uses a variety of in vitro and in vivo approaches including anatomy, molecular biology, behavior, imaging, omics, optogenetics, and flow cytometry. We have active basic and translational research projects focused on pancreas function, visceral pain, cancer pain, and tumorigenesis. We have ongoing collaborations with neuroscientists as well as epidemiologists, geneticists, immunologists, statisticians, bioinformaticians, oncologists, surgeons and gastroenterologists. We welcome curious and motivated researchers from all backgrounds and identities to join the team.
