Job Description
We are looking for someone who wants to grow their career by working in a dynamic, milestone-driven interdisciplinary, collaborative research environment, working collaboratively with both physicians and corporate collaborators. The goal of this project is to reduce the burden of catheter usage in urodynamics measurement of bladder function for clinical diagnoses by validating a signal processing scheme to estimate detrusor pressure from bladder pressure measurements in realtime.

Job Responsibilities:
- Independent project design with the goal of data generation, analysis, interpretation and manuscript preparation
- Development of a signal processing method for urodynamic data in realtime
- Working with interdisciplinary research group including corporate collaborators
- Working in a Milestone and deadline driven research environment
Education:
- PhD or MD/PhD required
- MD with relevant laboratory experience may substitute for PhD
Languages:
- English Proficiency proof required for candidates arriving on J-1, J-2, or F1 + OPT visa status
Work Experience:
- Previous experience in a research or academic setting. Graduate student experience meets this requirement.
- Scientific writing experience
Additional Preferred Qualities:
- Proficiency with Matlab
- Familiarity with wavelet signal processing methods
- Familiarity with biomedical biomechanical data
- Familiarity with realtime signal processing methods
