A postdoctoral position in internal combustion engine research is available in the Mechanical Engineering Department of the École de Technologie Supérieure located in Montréal, Canada.
Job description
The candidate must have knowledge in engine test cells and data acquisition. The position involves conducting experiments that include measurement such as pollutant emissions, in-cylinder pressure and by high-speed endoscopy. The candidate will work closely with graduate students and shall be interested in disseminating the R&D outcomes in journal and/or conference article publications. Moreover, it is expected that the candidate will participate in the writing of technical reports as well as presenting results orally.
Requirements:
- A Ph.D. in mechanical/aerospace engineering or other relevant fields conferred recently or in the past five (5) years;
- Demonstrated experience with Labview software (real-time and CompactRio) is highly desired
- Excellent technical writing and collaborative skills are must-sought after.
Start date: As soon as possible
The position is a temporary position for up to a year, with a possible extension of 6 months.
