Postdoctoral Position in Regenerative Bone Biology
A postdoctoral position is available at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Dr. Mary Beth Humphrey’s lab to study molecular mechanisms of mesenchymal stem cell regulation and the role of vagal nerve stimulation in prevent pain and joint destruction in mouse models of osteoarthritis.
Candidate should have a Ph.D. with experience in bone biology, immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, or biochemistry. Experience with mammalian cell culture, recombinant DNA technology, cellular signaling and mouse models of bone disease are preferred. Candidate must be able to plan and perform experiments in an independent manner with appropriate supervision, have excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. Candidate will also be responsible for writing papers, protocols and lab reports associated with this project. Highly motivated individuals who wish to develop careers as independent scientists are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with documented success in research, such as recent first author publications and aspirations for an independent scientific career.
