The Department of Radiology Nuclear medicine is recruiting for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar. This position is anticipated to start in May-June 2023. The Theranostics laboratory studies developing new PET probes for management of advanced malignancies, using antisense based strategies, aptamers and CRISPR. We are particularly interested in the preclinical developmental of new PET probes that can aid in detecting therapy resistance of various tumor lesions in a patient. Additionally, this position will help with projects on CRISPR-based tumor imaging, advanced aptamer design and optimization of antisense PET probes which will be tested in 3D cell culture and animal models.

Desire and or experience in working with laboratory animals.
Excellent knowledge of basic chemistry as related to research design and experimentation.
Familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques such PCR and RT-PCR.
Experience with 3D cell cultures(tumor spheroids)
