Job Description
Summary
This individual will join an active research team working on host-microbiome interactions in health and disease. This independent and driven individual will design and conduct experiments in areas of epigenetics, with a focus on characterizing novel molecular signaling pathways that are linked to posttranslational histone modifications. We are seeking an ambitious individual who will be able to independently establish a research trajectory on posttranslational signals that contribute to homeostatic and aberrant epigenetic signaling, linking omics data analysis with disease outcomes in patients and animal models.
Job Duties
- Participates in funded research projects and assists the laboratory in obtaining additional funding.
- Assists with molecular biology and cell signaling studies in the Texas Childrens Microbiome Center
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- This individual should be proficient in research methods involving advanced molecular biology and epigenetic techniques. Experience with generating and handling transgenic animal models is also desired.
