Job Description
Postdoctoral and Visiting Scholar positions are immediately available in Dr. Jun Yan’s laboratory. The Yan lab focuses on pioneering novel immunotherapeutic approaches, particularly exploring the use of trained immunity for the treatment of cancer and infectious diseases (Nat Immunol, 2023. 24:239-254; J Immunothera Cancer, 2023. 11:e006221; Nat Commun. 2022. 13:759). We invite individuals to join our mission, utilizing our expertise in cellular immunology, cancer biology, and synthetic biology to decipher how immune cells work in health and disease. We believe that our biomedical research holds immense potential for clinical translation.
The ideal candidate will delve into investigating the tumor immune microenvironment using various techniques including flow cytometry, immunohistological analysis, and mass cytometry with different mouse tumor models and human cancer specimens. Prospective candidates should have a Ph.D. in immunology or cancer biology or related field, accompanied by relevant laboratory experience. Proficiency in techniques such as tissue culture, multi-color flow cytometry, and familiarity with animal models is required. Additional experience in tumor immunobiology and myeloid cells is highly desirable.
