Job Description
The Columbia University Medical Center Department of Dermatology is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral scientists interested in working on skin autoimmune and inflammatory diseases as well as skin cancer. Projects include immunological studies in alopecia areata, TCR sequencing and identification of antigens in autoimmune disease, microbiome studies, 16S and shotgun metagenomics, functional analysis of noncoding GWAS variants, cellular senescence, hair follicle biology in humans and mice, cancer immunotherapy, mouse models of melanoma, and computational analysis of large multiomics datasets, among others. This is an excellent opportunity to join a vibrant, diverse and collaborative team of basic and translational investigators focused on skin and hair follicle biology and disease.
Qualifications:
PhD, MD/PhD or equivalent
Experience in working with human samples and mouse models of disease
Experience in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases
Computational analysis of bulk and single cell RNAseq data and TCR data,16S sequencing and shotgun metagenomics data is a plus

Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
