Salary Information: University of California offers competitive salaries and benefits for postdoctoral scholars. Postdoctoral salary is commensurate upon qualifications. Description: Multiple postdoctoral scholars positions with competitive salaries and benefits are available immediately in the Dr. Changcheng Zhou Lab at the University of California, Riverside. Dr. Zhou’s research program focuses on the molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. We are currently investigating the functions of several important signaling pathways and novel small non-coding RNAs in the pathogenesis of cardiometabolic disease including atherosclerosis, obesity, and diabetes. Dr. Zhou also has a successful training record and his former trainees have secured independent faculty positions and pharmaceutical/biotech industry positions in the USA, Europe, and Asia. Small laboratory animal models, molecular biology and biochemistry techniques are the main research approaches for these studies. For postdoctoral positions, candidates should have a doctoral degree in molecular biology, biochemistry or related field, and strong background in cell culture, biochemical and molecular biology techniques, and small animal model systems. We welcome and strongly support scientists with diverse backgrounds who are energetic and highly motivated for career advancement. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in studying cardiovascular disease and lipid homeostasis. The ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team is essential.
