Job Description
Summary
This individual will be doing a variety of biochemical and molecular analysis in the laboratory including tests for COVID-19, as well as contributions to human health and disease in the context of diabetes and human metabolism. This individual will also do a lot of database entry and basic statistical analysis. This individual should be proficient in research methods centered on cell culture, biochemistry and molecular biology.
Job Duties
- Looks at the worklist every day to identify research subjects.
- Fills out all the forms.
- Enters in the database, updates the excel sheet, scavenges remainder samples, labels tubes appropriately, aliquots and stores and updates the database.
- Performs simple ELISA, prepares buffers and reagents required for testing.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- A strong background in biochemistry/basic immunology and human physiology is highly desirable.
- Applicants with previous experience in method validation as well as database handling will be favorably considered.
