Job Description
Summary
The Department of Family and Community Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine is offering an innovative full-time primary care research fellowship to doctoral students and residency graduates , including those with clinical and non-clinical research degrees. This fellowship features a two-year core curriculum, emphasizes multidisciplinary team-based mentoring, and offers a diverse spectrum of primary care research opportunities. An optional third year will be available to fellows who desire further expertise and preparation in a certain field or area of primary care research (e.g., cost-effectiveness analysis).
Job Duties
- Completes applied research projects.
- Prepares and submits scholarly articles.
- Attends scientific networking workshops/conferences.
- Participates in writing grants for extramural funding with the assistance of a faculty mentoring team.

Attends bi-weekly didactic and applied sessions as part of their core curriculum, as well as a monthly research seminar and Fellows' Forum. These structured activities will give fellows an opportunity to interact, serve as peer reviewers and advisors to one another, and provide feedback to the faculty regarding the quality and direction of the fellowship training program.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD).
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degrees will be accepted.
- Completion of a clinical residency program is preferred.
