Job Description
For immediate start! The University of Pittsburgh Department of Surgery is recruiting for NRSA T32 supported Postdoctoral Fellow positions.
Under the leadership of Drs. Timothy Billiar and Matthew Neal, the Department of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh has maintained a long-standing NIH T32 training grant from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences. This program aims to train the next generation of physician-scientists and PhDs in trauma, sepsis, and related conditions like ischemia/reperfusion, injury, and wound healing over a two to three-year commitment.
The Pitt Trauma Research Training Program is organized into two core training tracks: Clinical Sciences and Basic Sciences. It leverages the University of Pittsburgh’s extensive resources and the program’s distinguished group of participating faculty mentors and their diverse research interests. These independent investigators have substantial experience mentoring postdoctoral trainees, working in multidisciplinary teams and scientific expertise in investigating these complex clinical issues.
Interested applicants should submit a current CV and a one page description of research interests and long-term goals to Donielle Neal, Academic Program Administrator at [email protected]. Recruitment will be ongoing until all available positions are filled.
