Job Description
The Department of Chemistry and the Department of Biology at Temple University are seeking applicants for a Postdoctoral Researcher or a Research Assistant Professor position (non-tenure track) in the laboratories of Prof. Rongsheng (Ross) Wang and/or Prof. Vincenzo Carnevale. Daily operations include research, and assisting in guidance of graduate students in the laboratory of Prof. Wang to experimentally pursue protein engineering and protein evolution, with possible in silico predictions using machine-learning based artificial intelligence (from Prof. Carnevale) to guide the design of artificial enzymes.
Qualifications:
Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. degree in Biology/Biochemistry/Chemistry with demonstrated experience in protein engineering, enzymology, in vitro biochemistry/molecular biology, and cell assays. Previous experience with mutation-based protein evolution is a plus.
