A Postdoctoral Fellowship opportunity is immediately available for the highly motivated individual in the laboratory of Dr. Robert Hickey at the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope, a prestigious NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. As a successful candidate, you will:
· Synthesize small molecules using multi-step processes, modern purification systems (e.g., Flash Chromatography), and advanced analytical tools.
· Design and optimize synthetic pathways to efficiently produce high-quality target molecules.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the discovery and development of small molecule drugs and PROTAC-drug conjugates.
· Present research findings and contribute to scientific discussions within the project team.
· Maintain a safe, compliant, and organized laboratory environment while adhering to EHS policies and regulatory standards.
Your qualifications should include:
- Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, preferably earned within the past two years.
- Demonstrated expertise in small molecule synthesis within a standard chemistry laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in purification techniques for small organic molecules, such as chromatography (HPLC, LCMS), and characterization methods, including NMR and mass spectrometry.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $34.00 - $37.55 / hour
