TheJohn Williamsresearch lab at City of Hope is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow or a Staff Scientist to join an innovative team. Our research primarily focuses on structural and biophysical methods to identify sources of energy additivity and multivalency in macromolecular complexes and use these properties to develop new tools and novel therapeutics.
As a successful candidate, you will:
·Determine structure of modified antibodies with immune receptors
·Apply yeast display to stabilize and subsequent deimmunize proteases
·Create additional antibody variants to maximize the therapeutic activity in a clinical setting
Your qualifications should include:
·Ph.D. degree chemistry, biochemistry, structural biology, biophysics or a related discipline is required.
·Knowledge of protein engineering (cloning, expression, purification), crystallography (crystallization, optimization, data collection and structure determination), biochemistry (enzyme kinetics) and biophysics (Surface Plasmon Resonance, Iosthermal Ttitration Calorimetry
Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $34.00 - $37.55 / hour
