Position Overview and Responsibilities
The Krishnan Lab in the Genes & Human Disease Research Program at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and independent individual for a full-time postdoctoral researcher to join their team.
We study metabolism of the evolutionary mutant model organism - blind cavefish - to better understand human metabolic diseases such as diabetes and obesity. The candidate will study various physiological pathways such as those of glucose and fat metabolism, mitochondrial metabolism, oxidative stress, and autophagy to discover the secret to their good health despite having obesity and diabetes.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in a biological science, chemistry, physics or other relevant area, M.D., or equivalent, and have experience in the above-mentioned field(s).
The individual is also expected to have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues.
