The Huston Lab at Columbia University’s Zuckerman Institute seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist with expertise in quantitative behavior and/or electrophysiology.
Our research uses Drosophila melanogaster to investigate how visual and proprioceptive sensory inputs are integrated, how these circuits exhibit plasticity, and how they control motor behavior.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in neuroscience, biology, engineering, physics, or related field
Hands-on experience in at least two of the following:
Quantitative behavior
Patch-clamp or insect electrophysiology
Drosophila genetics
Immunohistochemistry and confocal imaging
Experimental apparatus prototyping
Programming (MATLAB or Python)
