Job Description
A postdoc position is open in computational structural biology for studying protein-protein interactions in the lab of Dr. Andras Fiser. The research includes various aspects of method development to analyze, predict and design protein interfaces focusing on pharmacophore-based approaches developed in our lab. Examples for applications include developing and employing computational techniques to design specificity for protein-protein and protein-peptide interfaces. The position is highly interdisciplinary and provides close collaborations with experimentalists.

The ideal candidate holds a PhD degree in relevant fields (e.g. computational biology, chemistry, physics, applied mathematics) and has an extensive computational background in scripting and programming languages, familiar with Linux operating system. Familiar with bioinformatics programs and applications, including experience with advanced MD and coarse-grained simulations, some machine learning approaches and has a strong working knowledge of research concepts and techniques.
