POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW – CANTOR LAB
DEPARTMENT OF CANCER IMMUNOLOGY & VIROLOGY

Overview
The Cantor laboratory investigates the immune response of T cell genes and their products in the context of anti-tumor immunity, antibody-mediated rejection, and autoimmune and neurodegenerative disorders.
The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a leading research center with a vibrant, interactive research community in basic and translational research. Our research program provides substantial scientific resources within a stimulating and collegial research environment. Successful candidates will receive joint appointments at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Department of Immunology, Harvard Medical School.
Responsibilities
• Develop and apply novel approaches to immunotherapy.
• Conduct preclinical studies in mouse models and/or human systems.
• Perform in vitro and in vivo studies with murine or human T cells and other immune cells.
• Apply immunological techniques, including multicolor flow cytometry.
• Use relevant molecular and cellular methods, including CRISPR-based approaches, RNA/DNA analyses (RNA-seq), immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation, and immunoblotting.
• Maintain thorough experimental records; analyze, present, and write up data for reports and manu-scripts.
• Contribute to general laboratory organization and safety practices.
Qualifications
• Recent PhD or MD/PhD in immunology (or a related field) with experience in murine or human T-cell im-munology, molecular biology, antibody development, and in vivo modeling.
• Strong record of scientific accomplishment preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to conduct self-directed research and work effectively as part of a team.
• Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and highly responsible.
